D.O.M Destruction Of Mankind
Staten Island, NY, USA |
Best described as a mix of hardcore and metal, D.O.M (Destruction Of Mankind) was the brainchild of Dom Trombetta. Growing up around the New York hardcore scene, D.O.M’s influences span a wide variety of Metal and Hardcore bands as well as many “underground” influences. Feeling the frustration of finding musicians who were as dedicated and serious about making it, Dom decided to play all 5 instruments on “Necktie for a Noose” himself. His individual influences range depending on which instrument he is playing, leaving it up to the listener’s imagination on what they might personally think he may sound like. Self taught on all instruments, Dom has been playing drums for most of his life, he then later picked up guitar and bass. Once completing the music on “Necktie for a Noose” Dom then turned his attention to vocals, seeking to bring a unique and different approach. In 2004 D.O.M set out to do what many would not attempt, to write, play and record an entire album by himself. Working on a budget and being new to all this, Dom co produced “D.O.M Necktie for a Noose” with the help of Bill Donnelly which was Mixed and Mastered by Bill Donnelly at Laughing Dog Studios NYC, and is available now. D.O.M’s philosophy towards his music is simple, heavy music, wild vocals with a strong and stern message towards the state of the world. |
