Audio Terror Regime is Mike Bossier (guitars), Chris Hicks (bass), Mark Lorenzo (vocals), and Mike Spiers (drums). The group, based a few miles outside of Washington D.C., has a heavy pedigree, with former members landing in Kittie and Dillinger Escape Plan. Before ATR, Spiers and Bossier recorded with SPINE (The Dirty Sanchez, Non-Violent Offender) and toured the United States. In 2008, Audio Terror Regime worked with GEICO Racing for a series of television ads featuring appearances by several of today’s leading automotive racing figures, including Mike Wallace, Max Papis, and Tommy Kendall. In the third installment of the commercial series, (seen in on U.S. stations like G4 and heard on the radio) excerpts from ATR songs “Black Eye Pageant” and “Subservient” are heard blasting away as the young commercial lead takes his elder drivers “to school.” ATR’s music is intense—combining hammering complex rhythms, ominous chords and a lyrical approach geared toward activism and prominent issues. The band’s live show features a multi-media presentation equaling the intensity of Audio Terror Regime’s sonic output. In other words: it’s all heavy. REAL HEAVY!!
